This is a beautiful manifesto for all creative or highly productive people. We all have different physical and energetic cycles, and tapping into those can super charge our creativity. But unfortunately most of white collar society is stuck in the 9-5 schedule, which is optimal for only a subset of the population. I personally feel way more energized in late morning and early evenings, and some of my best work comes at that time.
Love this post! You have beautifully articulate productivity vs presence. Your full presence matters more than just doing number of things for the sake of productivity.
This is so beautifully said! The lulls and the ebbs can come with so much self criticism, acknowledging it’s just part of the process is an ongoing lesson for me 🙌🏽
Beautifully written. I struggle with accepting that my best hours are those of late nights, and at the current point of my life I cannot indulge into staying up late. What would I give to get that spark in the mornings and afternoons…
For me its finding your own creative ritual during the mornings or the day. For me its after breakfast and after i get ready and do my skincare. Then i play some music or a show and then get into work
Thank you for you insight ❤️ the only thing that puts me off is that it often feels forceful to me, whereas in the evenings I can sit down and get into the flow right away. I guess I’ll just have to sit through the discomfort.
Its definitely because you dont have a made ritual yet for your days and nights. Also fun fact but your energy levels are high during the day so trust me , get to know your self care during the day first before jumping into creative mode
