I relate with that. Writing helps a lot for fear anxiety shame. O yes. For the inner dialogue. I think Writing ease our wounds and pain. At least in my opinion too.
Never have truer words been written - I wrote a whole book to accompany me on my therapy journey - it was a beautiful, painful, wildly vulnerable experience - but the most transformative - it is what eventually led me here - writing my own Substack Essays, which are an unending work in progress - just like healing I suppose …
As someone with autism, I struggle with expressing myself verbally. The beauty in writing (at least for me) lies in the time I have. The feeling of being able to take my time and to think about how I want to lay out my words in order to build my reality, is healing me.
